Fundraiser auctions

Charity golf days and corporate outings are built to raise money, and few things raise more of it than a good auction. The signed flag, the round for four at the nice course down the road, the case of wine somebody donated: those items can bring in as much as the entry fees do. Squabbit now runs the whole auction for you, right inside your tournament, and it is free for everyone.

Set up items in minutes

Create an auction on your tournament and start adding items. Each one gets a name, a description, and a starting bid, and that is really all it takes. Build your full lineup the night before the event or add a last-minute donation on the first tee. An auction widget appears on the tournament's home tab so everyone knows it is live, and each item can be shared with a link for the folks who could not make it out.

Attendees bid from their phones

No paper sheets clipped to a table, no pens running dry. Everyone at your event bids straight from the app. They see the current high bid and who is leading, and placing a bid just bumps it by the increment. The moment someone is outbid, Squabbit emails them and sends an in-app notification, so the friendly back-and-forth that makes an auction fun keeps going right up to the close.

You also decide who is allowed to bid. Open it to everyone, players and spectators alike, limit it to just the players in your field, or open it only to spectators. That makes it easy to keep bidding inside your event or to throw it open to every supporter who wants to chip in. Every bid is then checked on the server before it counts: the minimum, the increment, whether the auction is still open, and whether that person is allowed to bid at all.

Collect from the winners

Set a close time and the auction wraps itself up when the clock runs out, or close it by hand whenever you are ready. Every winner is emailed and sent an in-app notification the moment the auction ends, with how to pay, so nobody has to be chased down.

Each winner has a balance to settle, and a collection panel gives you one clean view of who won what, who has paid, and how much you have raised so far. Open an item to see the winner's contact details, record a payment method, and mark it collected. Take payment through Stripe and check people off as they pay. When the last balance clears, you know exactly how much the auction brought in.
